Health & Safety

It is the policy of Shipley Structures Limited that operations performed by the company are in accordance with Shipley Structures Limited Safety Policy and the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, in terms of both spirit of the act and its legal obligations.

The company recognises that it is one of its prime responsibilities to provide facilities, safeguards and systems of work which will ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the Health, Safety and Welfare at work of its employees.

Mitch Weston is the Director responsible to implement and maintain the policy through the use of the policy arrangements. His duties and that of the other directors, senior managers and employees are detailed in the company Health and Safety Policy.

In order to avoid incidents, good working practices are to be employed. Accordingly, there is a responsibility on all company personnel to familiarise themselves with their duties as detailed in the policy, in order to ensure high standards of safety and working practices.

The success of the Health and Safety Policy will only be achieved by the continued contribution of all company employees. The appointed director, along with the Company’s independent safety adviser, will monitor and relay the operation of the document.

This statement is to be displayed in a prominent position at all work locations and issued to all employees. A copy of the Health & Safety Policy with full details of the organisation and arrangements for implementing the same will also be available at each work location and site, for use and reference by an employee.
